He was to all appearances in his usual health until within a few moments of his death. Louis Kossuth Morgan was born in the town of Union, January 8, 1852. His boyhood days were spent in the village of Oregon. As a young man he went to Alabama, where he was married in 1880 to Miss Mary F. Bailey. A few years later they came to Evansville and with the exception of ten years spent in the state of Texas, have made their home here since that time. Mr. Morgan has been in good health until he was seized with the sudden illness Friday morning. He leaves a widow, a sister, Mrs. Mary E. Day, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held at the home Sunday afternoon and was conducted by the Rev. D. Quincy Grabill. The services at the grave in Maple Hill Cemetery were conducted by Union Lodge No. 32, F. and A. M.
