Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Oscar B. MORRIS ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, May 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Died -- Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Redlands, Cal. Mr. Oscar B. Morris, of consumption. The deceased was well known in Evansville having spent the greater portion of his life here. He was very well educated and taught school when his health would permit. The deceased has been wonderfully heroic in his struggle against disease but finally succumbed in California where he went about a year since hoping that the climatic conditions there would benefit his health. Mr. Morris was noted for his christian piety and kind, helpful disposition, all of which tended to make his last days on earth full of unspeakable peace. His father was with him during the past few weeks and ministered to him. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Tirza White of this place. February 3, 1900, The Badger, p. 1, col. 4, Evansville, Wisconsin
