Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Charles Leon MUNNS ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Charles Leon Munns was born in Grant county, Wis., September 29, 1878, and died at his home on Fourth Street, Wednesday morning at eight o'clock. He had been ill but two weeks and was a victim of "Flu-Pneumonia". He attended school at the seminary a few years and finished his preparatory work in Greenville, Ill. He was married to Miss Lydia F. Crichfield of this city, May 1, 1907, and to this union three children were born--Clara Pauline, Howard Lynn and Lawrence Bud, aged 11, 8, and 5 years respectively. He was an exceptionally good and kind husband and father and will be sadly missed in the home. The last nine years of his life were spent on a homestead at Lambert, mon., but moved to Evansville in November to make this city his home. Besides his wife and children he leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Munns of Fennimore, Wis., five brothers and three sisters. The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Free Methodist Church, the deceased having been a strong member of the same for over twenty years. Rev. A. J. Behner of Chicago, nephew of Mrs. Munns and classmate of the deceased, is expected to conduct the funeral services. There were multiple deaths of children and adults during this period.
