DIED OWEN--Mattie, wife of A. J. Owen, departed this life on Sunday morning
at three a.m., on the 25th inst., after a long and painful prostration. She
was born in York state, where resides her father and sisters. She was aged
at death 35 years. She leaves among the large circle of friends and
relatives who mourn their loss a husband and four children. Her funeral
services were held on Tuesday morning, at the M. E. church in Footville
with which she held membership. The services were conducted by Rev. A. J.
Brill. A very large company of friends witnessed these last services and
took their farewell of one they respected and loved.
