Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Alzina A. Pierce late of Union, Rock Co., were laid away in the cemetery at Evansville. The funeral services were conducted at her late home by Rev. Irving Towsley, pastor of Universalist church in Stoughton. Old friends and neighbors, and the members of the family filled the house and yard. Deceased was born in Denmark, Lewis Co., N. Y., August 28, 1809. She came to Rock County forty- seven years ago. Her husband died ten years ago in Sept. Since that time she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Coggin, at Union. She passed quietly away last Sunday morning, being six days past her nintieth birthday. Mrs. Pierce had always been a woman of great intelligence and until injured last June by a wound on her finger that gave her much pain was a constant reader. She is survived by four sons and three daughters. All were present at the funeral but one son. Her sons are Lucian, of Clinton, Ia; A. W. of Rockford, Ill, Walter of Wessington Springs, Dakota who was not able to be present and Flavus J.
