Mr. Pierce was born in North Jackson, Ohio, Feb. 22, 1846. Ten years ago he and Mrs. Pierce moved to Evansville from South Dakota. Besides his widow he is survived by two sons, George and Harry, and one daughter, Mrs. Alice Farley, and one grandson and one granddaughter, (by a former marriage) all of Omaha, Nebr. He also leaves one brother, William Pierce, Hutchinson, Kansas, and sister, Mrs. Alice Clements, Sterling, Kansas. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the home, the Rev.
