NELS RASMUSSEN Mrs. Nels Rasmussen died Sunday, Aug. 28, 1910, at her home in Union village, after an illness of a short duration. Sena Jenson was born in Denmark on July 8, 1828. She was married to Nels Rasmussen on April 15, 1865. They came to this country twenty nine years ago and settled near Cooksville. They have always resided in this vicinity and for a few years past have lived in Union village, in the house that was formerly the post office. When a young girl she was confirmed in the Danish Lutheran church, and has tried to live the life of a true christian, and by her kindly manner won a host of friends. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Carl, who resides near Aberdeen, South Dakota and Christian, who resides at the parental home. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, at one o'clock at the home, and at one thirty at the Union church. The remains were interred in the Maple Hill Cemetery, this city.
