Ebenezer John Reckord

Ebenezer John Reckord was born Jan. 23, 1861 at Bridgeport, Wis., and
passed away Thursday Jan. 10, 1924 at 9:00 p.m. He was married to Anna Bele
Dresback May 5, 1884, since which time they have resided in Evansville. Mr.
Reckord was one of the pioneer businessmen of this city having been in
business here for over 30 years, a blacksmith by trade, and for the past
eight years has been engaged with his son Roy, in the automobile business.
He has been a member of the Modern Woodmen of America for about 30 years.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, two sons, Leslie V., Cashier Beloit
State Bank, and Roy E. of Evansville, and a sister, Mrs. Clarence Walker of
Brooklyn, Wis. A sister Mrs. Addison Barnum preceeded him in death just 10
weeks.

Funeral services were held at the home of W. Church Street Sunday afternoon
at 2:00 o'clock, the Rev. F. P. Hanaman officiating. Interment was made in
Maple Hill Cemetery.
