Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Simeon S. Reed died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. L. A. Chapel, in this city, Wednesday, April 29, 1903, of dropsy, after a lingering illness. Mr. Reed was born in Holly, Orleans County, N. Y., April 19, 1815. He moved to Ohio in an early day and lived there until 1845, when he came to Wisconsin, locating on a farm in Magnolia where he continued to reside until coming to this city about six years ago. He was married in Geauga County, Ohio, in June 1844, to Miss Adeline S. Olds, who passed to the land beyond at Magnolia, Jan. 29, 1887. Four children were born to them; Charles, who died in 1864 at the age of one year; Geo. H. Reed, and Mrs. L. A. Chapel, both of this city and F. D. Reed of Garden Grove, California, who has been here for several weeks past. Mr. Reed was an honest, industrious man, beloved by all who knew him, and many friends sympathize with the bereaved family. A brother and his wife from Madison attended the funeral. The funeral services wre held at the home of Mrs. Chapel at 1:30 Friday afternoon and at the Methodist church at 2:00 o'clock, Rev.
