Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: William REESE ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ The funeral of Mr. William Reese occurred at the Baptist church last Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock; Rev. Mr. Smith officiating. The church was filled with relatives and sympathising friends who assembled to pay their last respects to one who had served his days well. The deceased was a native of Wales but came to this country when young and located near Albany. Here he married Miss Jones and they became the parents of fifteen children, eleven of whom are living and were present at the funeral. Mrs. Reese died about seven years ago and since that time Mr. Reese has made his home with his youngest daughter, Mrs. Ed. Smith. Mr. Reese will not only be greatly missed by his children but by our citizens in general who had seen him until a week previous to his death, upon our streets almost daily, in good health and spirits. April 5th he received a stroke of paralysis to which he succumbed in one week. The frail tenement was tenderly laid in its last resting place in Maple Hill cemetery by six sons-in-law of the deceased. April 21, 1900, The Badger, Evansville, Wisconsin
