Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Jane ROBINSON ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ OBITUARY Died: At the home of her niece, Mrs. Victor Charroin, Mrs. Jane Robinson, September 7, aged nearly ninety-two years. Jane McAdams was born in Ballyshamron, Ireland, Dec. 26, 1806. She was married to James Robinson on January 17, at the age of twenty-four. The first part of her married life was spent in Dublin, Ireland. She came with her husband to the U. S. and lived in New York City. Over 50 years ago they came to Wisconsin and for 30 years made their home near Pickett. In 1880 they moved to Omro where Mrs. Robinson lived until the death of her husband in 1889. She then returned to Pickett and made her home with her sister, Mrs. Vance, until her death in Sept. '96. She then came to her niece Mrs. V. Charroin who was then living at Pardeville, Wis. In March '97, she came with the family to Evansville. She was the last of her father's family converted at an early age she joined the Methodist church and has since been a consistent member. Her last year was one of intense suffering which was endured with unvaried patience. Two nieces and four nephew with their families mourn. The interment occurred at Pickett, for which place the funeral party left Thursday morning. Badger, September 11, 1897, p. 1, col. 4, Evansville, Wisconsin
