Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Mrs. John ROSS ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ OBITUARY Mrs. John Ross Mrs. John Ross died at the home of her stepdaughter, Mrs. August Kleinsmith, west of the city, Thursday morning, September 12, 1912. She has been in failing health for the past four months and suffered intensely at times, but bore it all patiently and waited for the Master's call. She was born in Regenwalde, German, May 19, 1841. She was united in marriage to John Ross in 1849 (sic). They came to this country in 1892, locating near this city. Both were members of the Evansville Evangelical association. Mrs. Ross is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Herman Peterson, Mrs. Chas. Popang of Albany, Mrs. August Kleinsmith, and four sons, William Ross of Brooklyn, Carl Ross of this city, Emil Ross of Wiltondale, Wis., and Frank Ross of Oshkosh. The funeral was held Sunday at eleven-thirty in the German Evangelical church in the town of Brooklyn, and the interment was in the Frieden's cemetery. Rev. H. J.
