From the earliest childhood, Frances Emily Fellows, as she was known before her marriage, has been known, as a child, woman, wife, and mother, and above all, a friend in times of sorrow and distress and there are many who will mourn her departure and miss her in their daily lives. Coming to Wisconsin when a small child with her parents she grew to maidenhood on a farm east of Evansville, where December 31, 1869 she was united in marriage to Clinton Scoville, they celebrated their Golden anniversary in 1919. Ever believing it right to be a helpmate to her husband who was an active and enthusiastic Knights of Pythias, she became one of the charter members of the Pythian Sisters order upon its organization in this city and was active in the work through all the years. The deceased is survived by her husband; two daughter Mrs. O. M. Hubbard Evansville, and Mrs. Albert Rader, Edgerton; three grandchildren Honore and Bruce Hubbard, Chicago; and Marita Frances Rader, Edgerton. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the home, the Rev. O. W. Smith, of the Congregational church, officiating. Burial in the Maple Hill cemetery.
