Shaw The death of Daniel H. Shaw occurred in this city at Dr. Smith's hosptial Monday, May 15, 1911, at 11 p.m. Mr. Shaw had been ill about seven weeks and his death was caused by stomach trouble. Mr. Shaw was born in the town of Center in 1848, and excepting a period of five years spent in Nebraska, his entire life was passed in Rock County as one of its successful farmers. He was particularly well known in Janesville and round and about this region, and enjoyed the esteem of his friends and neighbors for honesty and interity of character. He was a member of Union Lodge No. 32, F. & A. M. of Evansville, having joined the fraternity in Footville in 1882. Mr. Shaw is survived by six children, his wife having died in 1900. Beginning with the eldest they are, Robert O. and George L. of Woodstock, Ill., Keith D. of Evansville, Hollis and Boyne of Redfield, S. D., and Shirley D. of this city. A daughter, Irma, who married Chas. Horne died in 1903. The funeral was under Masonic auspices and was held at the Free Baptist church in this city Thursday noon at 12:30, and the interment was in the Grove Cemetery at Center.
