SHERGER ON SUNDAY After an illness of two years, Mrs. Jennie Sherger, a highly respected lady, passed away at her home on Main Street, Sunday morning. Jennie Magee was born at Exeter, Green County, December 2, 1844. She attended the seminary in this city and during her early life taught school at Monroe and other places. On July 25, 1880, she was wedded to Frank Sherger, in Evansville, where she conducted a millinery business for a number of years. Mr. Sherger died about twenty-six years ago, while at Denver, Colo., where he had gone in quest of health. Mrs. Sherger, who had many friends, was a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Sherger is survived by two children, Mrs. William Groh and Elmer G. Sherger, who were very devoted to their other; and two brothers, George and William Magee. Funeral services were held at the Congregational church at 2:30 yesterday afternoon, being conducted by the Rev. D. Q. Grabill. The pall-bearers were: Byron Campbell, Frank Hyne, Roy Reckord, Charles Bullard, Charles Doolittle and Bert Holmes. Interment was at Maple Hill cemetery.
