Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Elizabeth SNASHALL ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ OBITUARY Died: Wednesday morning Feb. 19, 1902, Mrs. Elizabeth Snashall, with the infirmities of age, aged 89 years. Elizabeth Hosmer was born in Headcorn Kent Co., England, Dec. 23, 1812. In February 1839 she was married to James Snashall and ten years later they came to this country locating in New York State where they lived until coming to this place in 1869. Since her husband's death in 1873, Mrs. Snashall has lived with her children in this place except a few years spent in Nebraska with a daughter. She was a member of the Baptist church from early life. She was the mother of seven children, two of whom died in infancy; two others Jabez and Julia, about four years ago, the former at Grand Rapids, Mich., and the latter at Bertrand, Neb. Caleb and Albert Snashall and Mrs. John Phifer her three surviving children live in this place and it was at the latter's home that she passed away after a long and well spent life.
