Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Georgie Anna SNYDER ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ DEATH CLAIMS A VICTIM Sudden and Unexpected Death of Mrs. C. B. Snyder Mrs. C. B. Snyder, wife of one of our popular and highly respected businessmen, died very suddenly of heart disease on Tuesday night, about 11 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Snyder had attended the entertainment given by the Congregational Society in which Mr. Snyder took part the fore part of the evening, and had just retired when Mrs. Snyder was suddenly taken with a spasm. Mr. Snyder hurried for Dr. Smith, but his assistance was of no avail and after a few short gasps she passed into the sleep that knows no waking. Mr. and Mrs. Snyder had been married but three months and had just moved into their new home on Church St. During her short stay here she gained the hearty friendship and love of everyone with whom she came in contact and her untimely death casts a deep shadow of gloom over the entire community. The husband has been proprietor of one of the leading drug stores in this village for the past year and his honesty and upright dealings have brought him a large patronage. But three months ago he made up his mind to take a life partner, there for went to Racine where he formerly resided and married Miss Georgie Anna Bayard the deceased. He has the deepest sympathy of the entire community in this hour of trouble. April 5, 1894, Evansville Review, p. 1, col. 4, Evansville, Wisconsin
