STANTON Mr. George H. Stanton died at his home in this city last Friday night, Oct. 3, 1902, after an illness of but a few weeks. Mr. Stanton was born in La Prairie on May 5, 1863, moved to Janesville in 1880. He was associated in the grocery business in that city with his father for six years; he then moved to this city and has been in business here for the past seven years, during which time he has made many friends. He leaves a wife and a little daughter Ruth. The remains were taken to Janesville, Saturday afternoon. The funeral services were held at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Stanton, at 10:00 o'clock Monday morning, Rev. Denison being the officiating clergyman; Mrs. Yates and Mr. Van Kirk assisted in the musical part of the service. The pall bearers were the brothers and brothers-in-law of the deceased. October 11, 1902, The Badger, p.1, col. 4, Evansville, Wisconsin Geo. H. Stanton, thirty nine years of age, passed away, Friday evening, Oct. 3, 1902, after a short illness of about one week; the primary cause of his death was heart disease. Mr. Stanton had been a very highly respected successful business man in this city about nine years, moving here from Janesville, where his parents reside and where his remains were taken, Saturday, for interment, the funeral being held at his parental home in that city, Monday, at 10 o'clock a.m. He leaves a wife, daughter, three brothers, and two sisters besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.
