Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Mary STONEBURNER ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Mrs. Mary Stoneburner Mrs. Mary Stoneburner died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alice Beals, in the town of Avon, Wednesday, and the remains were laid beside those of her husband in the Cooksville cemetery. Until the death of her husband, Ezra T. which occurred Jan. 1, '09, her home had been in Cooksville and she was one of the few pioneer settlers still alive. Coming to that locality when the country was new she witnessed the improvements and progress made and in her quiet way assisted in its welfare. She was a woman who was respected and admired by all. Of quiet disposition her home life and cares were her world. She leaves three children, Mrs. Alice Beals of Avon, Henry and Arthur Stoneburner of Beloit and three grandchildren to mourn her loss. November 25, 1909, Evansville Review, Evansville, Wisconsin Cooksville All that was mortal of Mrs. E. T. Stoneburner was laid at rest in the cemetery here Sunday. Mrs. Stoneburner has been a resident of this place for many years. Last spring, after the death of her husband, she went to live with her daughter, Mrs. Alice Beals, of Avon. The residents of this place deeply sympathize with the bereaved relatives. Rev. D. Q. Grabill offered prayer and words of sympathy. P. D. Savage, J. H. Gillies, I. E. Johnson and S.
