Y., August 20, 1845, and died at Vesper on August 7, 1918, being nearly seventy-three years of age. When three months old her parents moved to Evansville, Wis., where she grew up to womanhood and received her schooling. On September 20, 1867, she joined in marriage to Watson Turner and to this union five children were born, all of whom are living, namely, Harry, of Pittsville; Lamonte, of Beloit; Mrs. June Mead, of Holman; Mrs. Minnie Edwards, of Arpin, and Lynn, of Sigel. In 1905 the subject of this sketch came to Wood county with her husband and lived on a farm in the town of Sigel up to two years ago, when they retired and moved to Vesper. Early in life she became affiliated with church work and always maintained church membership. She was also a model wife and mother. The funeral services were held Saturday morning from the Congregational church with Rev. H. R. Vaughn officiating. A large concourse of relatives and friends attended the last rites. There was a profuse offering of flowers from admiring friends. All the children were present at the funeral. Interment was made in Forest Hill cemetery at Grand Rapids. Grandpa Turner and children have the deep sympathy of the community in their bereavement. Vesper, Wis., State Center. The deceased was a sister of George Dibble, of this city, and was well known here. She and her husband, it will be remembered, visited in this city about a year ago.
