She came to this country as a child with her parents and grew to womanhood in the town of Porter. In September 1867 she was married to Willoughby H. Walker, a pioneer resident of this vicinity and the home then founded lasted for more than fifty years. Mr. Walker passed away some six years ago. Four years ago on account of failing health Mrs. Walker went to San Diego, California where she lived until her death, July 10, 1924. She leaves to mourn her passing, five children, Mrs. Nellie Gillies, and Margaret W. Bickley, of San Diego, Cal; Mrs. Ezra W. Taylor of El Dorado, Ark; Charles I. Walker of Long Beach, Calif; and Clarence H. Walker of Brooklyn, Wis. She also leaves seven grand children and three sisters. She gave generously of her love service and in return reaped a rich harvest of friends and admirers in whose memories she will long linger.
