P. Walton Maris P. Walton was born in Chester, Pennsylvania, May 26, 1850. At the age of fourteen he enlisted during the time of the civil war. He came to Fulton, Wis., in 1868, where two years later he was united in marriage to Helen O. Harden. To this union were born seven chldren; Harve O. Walton of Magnolia, Mrs. Martin Knapp of Milwaukee, Bertram I. Walton, Milwaukee, Mrs. Ben Hibbard (deceased) George H. Walton of Kansas City, Missouri, Irvan O. Walton (deceased) and Mrs. Grant Imlay of Black Earth. After making their home in Iowa for a few years they returned to Wisconsin in 1879, settling in Evansville where the parents have since resided. Altho Mr. Walton had suffered no illness he had been in failing health for some time; and so his death on the morning of Nov. 3 came as a shock to all.
