For a long time Mr. Webb had been growing weaker, so the end was not unexpected. He was born in Oneida county, New York, May 16, 1819, the son of James and Anna Scott Webb. His youth was spent on the home farm, until about 1840 when he came to Wisconsin, locating in Rock County near Johnstown. There he was married to Miss Rice. To this union there were born eight children, six of whom reached maturity. Later Mr. Webb moved to Green county, to his farm near Albany. When he retired from the farm a few years ago he made his home in the village of Albany. His wife died in 1888, and he was married again in 1890 to Mrs. Sarah Hubbard of Evansville, who passed away in 1897. Since that time he has made his home with his children, four of whom, Mrs. O. C. Healy, Albert and Charles of Evansville and W. R. Webb of Spencer, Iowa, survive him. Mrs. Healy was taking care of him at the time of his death. Short services were held at the home of Albert Webb in this city yesterday morning at ten o'clock, after which the body was taken to Albany where the funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Graves of Brooklyn, an old time friend of Mr. Webb. The burial was in the Albany cemetery. September 17, 1914, Evansville Review, p. 1, col. 4, Evansville, Wisconsin
