Amelia Anna Coold was born February 10, 1854 in the city of Oregon, Wisconsin where she spent her early girlhood and also the place of her marriage to John Hanscom of Oregon in 1870. To this union nine children were born, two of them dying in their infancy. Mr. Hanscom died when young and left Mrs. Hanscom a widow with seven children none able to support themselves. She married Peter Woodard of this city in 1897 just twenty- three years ago last Thanksgiving, and to this union was born one child, Robert, who is well known to this city being a member of Company "M". Mrs. Woodard was a member of the Methodist church and also of the Woman's Relief Corps taking an active part in both places. The funeral service were conducted by Rev.
