Obituary: Rock County, Wisconsin: Ariel WORTHING ************************************************************************ Submitted by Ruth Ann Montgomery, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Ariel Worthing, a prominent farmer of Magnolia, died at his home there November 19, after an illness of five weeks, with infection of the stomach and blood poison. He was born at Center, Wis., March 7, 1865, and later with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Worthing, moved to Magnolia, where his whole life was spent. He was married in 1888 at Magnolia to Etta Preston of Albany, who preceded him in death 14 years ago. To this union was born eight children, Harvey and Verne, residing at Evansville, Frank and Charles, of Beloit, Mrs. Harry Erdmann, Milwaukee; Alonzo, Honolulu; Rebecca Porter, Evansville, who, with his aged mother and one sister, Mrs. Wm. Letts, of Magnolia and six grandchildren are left to mourn his loss. One daughter, Mabel, died 2 years ago. Funeral services were held at the Advent Church at Magnolia, Elder Bird officiating.
