I, Rachel Devereaux of the town of Reedsburg, County of Sauk and state of Wisconsin, being of
sound mind and memory, do hereby make, publish , and declare this my last will and testament
hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
First:  It is my will that my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of my personal property.
Second:  I give, devise, and bequeath to my beloved son Elzie Devereaux his support during life,
from my said estate either real, personal, or mixed, and direct that any part thereof may be leased
sold or mortgaged if necessary to maintain and support my said son comfortably- and I hereby
direct that my dear son Charles Devereaux be permitted to take charge of my said entire estate,
and that he shall be entitled to the proceeds thereof so long as he shall from such proceeds
provide for and comfortably support my said son Elzie Devereaux, and that no part of said
property can be by him sold, leased or mortgaged without the consent and advice of the executor
herein.
Third:  After the death of my said son Elzie Devereaux, and the payment of his funeral expenses, I
do give, devise, and  bequeath the residue of my estate, real personal or mixed to my beloved son
Charles Devereaux.
Fourth:  I do hereby make, constitute and appoint A.P. Ellinwood executor of this, my last will
and testament, and I do hereby authorize and empower my said executor, to lease, sell or
mortgage real estate, and execute conveyances therefor, whenever, in his judgement it shall
become necessary of advisable in order to carry out the provisions of my will, and to direct the
management of the estate whenever he shall deem it wise to take charge thereof to the exclusion
of my son Charles Devereaux.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand, and seal, this 28th day of January, 1890.

                                                                        Codicil
I do further direct that my said executor be not required to give any bond for the faithful
performance of his duties herein, nor required to account to the court as to his disposition of said
estate.

testament, in the presence of us, who at her request, in her presence, and in the presence of each
