Robert Thompson and family of 5 are back in the United States after 5 years overseas, the last 2 years in Madrid, Spin. They will now be stationed at San Bernadino, Cal. air force base. He visited his parents Arthur and Tessie Thompson in their Sleepy Valley home on the Paquawong (Sawyer Co.) and with his brother, Darrell who has his 2 sons, Darrell and Charles and daughter, Darolyn and friends of Waukegan visiting him. A family reunion on July 4th the day of high wind, drum rolls of thunder and fireworks from above, was held for the Thompson and Albrecht families, together for the first time in 23 years. On this memorable occasion there were many missing faces but new ones also. There were the Ralph Thompsons and the Neil Thompsons from the Twin Cities; Olyon and Nona Thompson Holland and daughters of Winthrop Harbor, Ill.; the Ray Wardens, daughter Myrna Burke and 2 children; Bonnie Boole Rosinger and 2 children from Phoenix, Ariz.; Deloris Bovee Elburg and sons; the Marvin Thompsons and Earl Needles of Cable. Joining the reunion were Naomi Thompson and friend; Mr. and Mrs. John Lynch; Mr. and Mrs. Ron Thame and Deron; Mr. and Mrs. Randy Rosinger from Brainerd; Mr. and Mrs. George Webster and Mrs. Julia Thompson; Mr. and Mrs. Nick Marrows and son of River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Terry Scheele of Mpls. and the Darrell Thompsons on this day to remember. © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm
