Jennings 10 January 2004 ************************************************************************ As printed in the obituary (newspaper and date of issue unknown): Ruben Peterson, age 57, a former resident of Hayward, passed away at Milwaukee on Feb. 17 He suffered a hart attack as he had completed his work for the day at the Ladish Company of Milwaukee. Mr. Peterson was born at Cedar Falls, Dunn County, Wisconsin. On Nov.26, 1895, and grew to manhood there. He later moved to Drummond were he was employed for several years. He married Inez Haselhuhn at Cable,, Wisconsin and they came to Hayward in 1915. He was employed at the Haselhuhn Meat Market for 18 years and later took employment with the Davis Heating and Plumbing Company. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Jean Jennings of Mesa Arizona; two sons, Curtiss Peterson of Phoenix AZ, and Allen Peterson of Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Josephson and Mrs. Eleanor Johnson, both of Hayward; also six grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death Feb. 9 1941. Funeral services were held on Saturday from the Anderson Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m., with Rev. R. J. Barns officiating. Interment was in Greenwood cemetery, Hayward. Sawyer, Wisconsin.
