OBITUARY - RUBEN R. RADES (Shawano Evening Leader)

Ruben R. Rades, age 71, Route 1, Shawano, Town of Belle Plaine, died Thursday, 
October 24, 1985 at Shawano.

The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rades was born on February 26, 1914 in 
Pella, Wisconsin.  He was employed by Hoffer Glass in Green Bay for 15 years 
and owned and operated the Sunset Diner of Shawano for 10 years.  He retired in 
1970. He was married on January 27, 1941 in Dubuque, Iowa to Kathryn Keiler.  
She died on February 21, 1983.

He is survived by four daughters; Nancy, Mrs. David Groenier, Oshkosh; 
Gwendolyn, Mrs. Walter Harrop, Boulder, Colorado; Roberta O'Connor, Green Bay; 
Joanne, Mrs. Larry Montoure, Bonduel; a son, Greg, (Debbie) Rades, Route 1, 
Shawano; 12 grandchildren; four brothers, Elmer (Betty) Rades, Shawano; Rolland 
(Marge) Rades, Milwaukee; Roy, (Mable) Rades, Shawano; Norman (Lucille) Rades, 
Wittenberg; and a sister, Ruth, Mrs. Pete Pederson, Detroit.  He was preceeded 
in death by one brother.

Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Community Baptist Church, Shawano, 
Reverand David Mobley will officiate.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, 
Shawano.  Friends may call at the Born-Swedberg Funeral Home, Shawano, Sunday 
from 6 to 9 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Monday at church to the time of services.
