I, Ferdinand Laetdke of the Town of Washington, Shawano County and State of Wisconsin, being of sound mind and memory, and mindful of the uncertainties of human life, do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament in manners following. First, after the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses, I give, devise, and bequeath to my daughter Martha Spohn, one hundred dollars to be paid to her when my son Friederich Laetdke arrives at the age of twenty one years. Second, I give, devise, and bequeath to my daughter Anna Laetdke, the sum of one hundred dollars to be paid to her at the same time my daughter Martha Spohn _____ (receives?) her share. Third, I give, devise, and bequeath to my daughter Emma Laetdke the sum of one hundred dollars to be paid to her when she arrives at the age of twenty one years. Fourth, I give, devise, and bequeath to my son Carl Laetdke the sum of three hundred dollars to be paid to him when he arrives at the age of twenty one years. Fifth, I give, devise, and bequeath to my son Friederich Laetdke the sum of three hundred dollars to be paid to him when he arrives at the age of twenty one years. Sixth, All the rest residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Louisa Laetdke. Seventh, I hereby nominate and appoint Fredrich Jandt of the Town of Washington the executor of this my last will and testament and hereby authorize and empower him, the said Frederich Jandt to compound, compromise and settle my claim or demand which may be against or in favor of my said estate.
