Mr. Stemper was born in Luxemburg, Germany and came to this country while a young man, locating at Port Washington. Ten years ago he moved to Milwaukee, taking up his residence at 1003 Twelfth street. Mr. Stemper is survived by his widow and eight children: the Rev. H.T. Stemper, pastor of St. Boniface Catholic church, of Milwaukee; Sister Henrica, superior of St. Michael's Catholic school Twenty fourth and Vliet streets Milwaukee; Mrs. Nonnie Hosch, Mrs. H.E. Schwartz, Prof. T.H. Stemper, organist of St. Boniface church; Prof. J.H. Stemper, who will assume charge of the music in St. Mary's Catholic church at Milwaukee, after September 1, and Peter Stemper, Port Washington. The funeral services will be held 10 o'clock Monday morning from St. Boniface church of which his son is pastor.
