Her Maria will be married-to Hans upon that day, Her sweet and precious daughter-so soon to move away. For it was there in Hudson-as one that they became, Never again were they to find-that life would be the same. They lived there in Wisconsin-worked and raised their own, And as the years flew by-their children soon were grown. So far, that’s our beginning-our thank-you goes to them, Had they not seen that love light-we would not have been. Hats off to you great parents-we’re surely in your debt, And if you knew us all today-I’m sure you’d not regret. There’s nothing like a family-to help the heart stay warm. There’s nothing like a family-to make the parents worn. But everything we ever did-to make our children smile It was more than worth it-yes every bit worthwhile. One moment they are with us-the next one they are gone. Sometimes there’s not a chance-to say to them, so long. We love you dear, tremendously-we’ll miss you oh so much. Why don’t we love them every day-while we are still in touch? **No child to teach, or parents around--- ---the day before, was the last to abound.** Copyright c 1997 by Marie Heggen Starling
