She was united in marriage to Christ Larson, June 24, 1869 and in 1870 they emigrated to the United States, going to Eau Claire where they made their home for three years. They then moved to Hudson and located on First Street where she has resided for fifty-three years. They were among the first to build a home on First Street. Early last fall Mrs. Larson went to live with her daughter in Minneapolis. Mrs. Larson was the mother of ten children, six sons and four daughters. Two of her daughters died in infancy. Alma died on June 17, 1902, at age 23, and Carl D. died on April 1, 1907. Mr. Larson passed away on March 25, 1912. Those who survive are Albert, Louis, Arthur and Norman of Hudson; Lawrence and Mrs. Frank Meyers of Minneapolis. The funeral was held from the home of her son, Norman, on First Street Monday afternoon at two o'clock and at Bethel Church at 2:30, Rev. R.O. Thompson officiating. Burial was made in Willow River Cemetery. The high esteem in which she was held was shown by many friends and relatives that attended the funeral. Mrs. Larson was a woman of warm heart and unbounded hospitality, a friend to all and will be sadly missed.
