April 23, 1871, she was united in holy wedlock to Mr. Henry Breede, to which union four children, three sons and one daughter were born. In 1883 Mr. Breede and family immigrated to this country and after a sojourn of three years in New York, removed to Medford, Wisconsin, where they resided thirteen years. From there they came to Nashville, Jackson County, Iowa, in which vicinity they have since resided. Mrs. Breed had been ailing for several years, and since the death of her husband in 1909, she made her home with her son-in-law, John Gruenwold of South Grove. A week ago Sunday her illness became acute and on Tuesday, Feb. 17th, she succumbed to heart failure. She had reached the age of 67 years, 5 months and 7 days. She leaves to mourn her loss one daughter, Mrs. John Gruenwold, 5 grandchildren and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted Feb. 19, under the direction of Rev. Vollmer of the Lutheran Church. Interment was made at the Buckhorn Cemetery.
