Gifford E-mail: jangif@execpc.com Source: The Rib Lake Herald, Friday, July 16, 1920 AUTO ACCIDENT SATURDAY Last Saturday evening at about 10:20, while in the act of turning his car around to come back to Rib lake, on the road past Henry Niggemann's farm, Postmaster Voemastek had a spill. The car got off the road and went into the ditch and fell on its side. The occupants were Mr. Voemastek and his son Raymond and daughter Gladys, and Miss Anna Gnotke and Mrs. Claude Shelly. All escaped injury except Mrs. Shelly, who bruised her back on the rail of the door. Nothing on the car was broken or bent, even the paint was not scratched. With the assistance of Henry Niggemann and his sons, and John Meyer, George Martin and others, who happened to be along about that time, the car was righted, pulled onto the road with Niggemann's team and by 11:45 all were back to town again. Mr. Voemastek says this has been his most trying experience in all the years he has owned an automobile and hopes it is the last. He hereby wishes to thank all who helped him in this difficulty, especially the Henry Niggemann family.
