Sprecher, president, State Bank of Independence, has been appointed as the executive chairman for Trempealeau county for the sale of Defense Savings Bonds and Stamps. The following have been named chairman of certain committees of the county organization and they in turn will appoint the other members of their respective committee: C. H. Lursen, public utilities; Harvey Abend, veterans organizations; C. B. Melby, banking and finance; Mrs. Laura Little Partidge, education, with W. B. Gautsch as co-chairman; Donald Warner, public employes; A. C. Schultz, industry; Mrs. Oscar Schmidt, women's organization; Eugene H. Florence, agriculture; Bert A. Gipple, press; Floyd E. Van Sickle, fraternal organizations; George Walters, trade; C. E. Fugina, service clubs; Roy Matson, local headquarters.
