Henry Paulson received 11 votes, Clarence Mathson, six, 11 scattering and the remaining 78 votes went to Lovlien who will be unopposed on the ballot. Kaas will not be a candidate. Ferdinand Estenson and E. B. Johnstad will be the candidates for the position of supervisor held for by Lovlien and Thomas Stalheim, supervisors, will be opposed by Melvin Anaas. The votes were Estenson 43, Johnstad 15, Stalheim 40, and Anaas 26. Treasurer Bernard Olson was nominated for re-election. He received 49 votes. Melvin Monson and Palmer Peterson each polled 20 votes. Monson withdrew and Peterson will oppose Olson. Robert Tomten, assessor received 61 votes as a candidate for re-election and former Assessor Einar Isaacson received 26. Henry Tangen, clerk, was nominated for re-election. Lucas Ekern was nominated to succeed himself as justice of peace. +++++ Fifty-four voters attending the caucus in the town of Hale Saturday chose Max Eimon to oppose Nels Johnson for the position of chairman. Johnson is the incumbent and received 33 votes and Eimon received 12 votes. Nominated for re-election without opposition were, Joe Gierok, and James Steen, supervisors; Albert Larson, clerk; Mrs. Jennie York, treasurer; and Clarence Anderson, justice of peace. George Maloney, present assessor will be opposed by Will Seiler, and George Walek is the candidate for constable without opposition. +++++ Mrs. R. E. Reinke, duaghter Barbara and son Richard left Monday to establish their home near Fort Smith, Ark., joining Mr. Reinke who is in military service. +++++ Mrs. C. K. Malmin went to Minneapolis Thursday to visit her daughter, Mildred, a student nurse at Fairview hospital. Miss Mildred took part in the presentation of a play Friday evening. +++++ Miss Ruth Hanson, R. N. supervisor of the pediatrics department of Anchor hospital, St. Paul, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hanson from Thursday until Monday. Ruth is recuperating following a throat infection. +++++ Local bowler defeated a Strum team of the Mondovi league at the Strum alleys Sunday afternoon. G. J. Lovlien of Milwaukee, rolled high single for the locals with 178 and C. I.
