She graduated from Osseo High School. She had one sibling: Margaret Emelie (Ristau) Severson. Irma married Ludwig George Anderson Jr. on April 11, 1942 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church near Foster, Wisconsin. Ludwig and Irma had one daughter, Maribeth June Anderson on June 12, 1943. Irma and Ludwig were divorced in the fall of 1943. Irma married Harry Edward Rawson on December 14, 1946 at the parsonage in Pigeon Falls, Wisconsin. Harry and Irma had five children, the last child, a girl died one hour after birth. They had four boys: 1) James Dale Rawson 2) David Lee Rawson 3) Timothy Aaron Rawson 4) John Allen Rawson Irma was a very intelligent girl growing up. She was promoted a year ahead in school. She played the violin in school and also acted. She almost always received the lead female role. Irma was very interested in plants, health and nutrition. She could identify almost any plant. Her ambition growin up was to become a nurse. She applied to college and was told she was too young. After her first marriage she went to beautician school. She lived a number of years in Blair, Wisconsin. She worked at the Grandview Nursing Home as a Housekeeper and Beautician until she retired. Irma was a wonderful baker. She made delicious pies. She was a pillar for her family.
