Submitted by Marilyn Morgan 10 March 2004 ************************************************************************ Obituary from the Galesville Republican, dated 10 November 1960 George Larson Dies After Long Illness George Larson, 86, died at his home in South Beaver Creek Wednesday evening, Nov. 2, after a long illness. Mr. Larson was born in South Beaver Creek Sept. 25, 1874, son of Mr. & Mrs. Lars P. Larson. He married Pauline Emerson at her home in North Bend Oct. 31, 1900, and they settled on a farm about four miles from Ettrick, in South Beaver Creek. They lived on this farm nearly 50 years and then moved across the road. Their 60th wedding anniversary was Monday. Surviving are his wife: three sons, Robert, South Beaver Creek, and Stanley and Leslie, on the home farm; two daughters, Mrs. Melvin Erickson and Mrs. Ed Pederson, town of Ettrick; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Saturday at North Bend Presbyterian church, the Rev. T. Clifford Hay officiating. Burial was in North Bend cemetery.
