Elkhorn Independant
Died at sister's house, Mrs. W.H. Moorhouse, in Chicago, IL.
She was 85 years old.  Her funeral was held at Mrs. Moorhouse's home, and the 
body was taken to Hazel Ridge Cemetary for burial, near her parents.  She was 
born on the ocean in 1836, when her parents were emigrating to the U.S.  She 
lived with her family in Ogdensburg, NY, until they moved to Elkhorn in 1855.  
She was a dressmaker and lived with her sister in Chicago for about 30 years.  
She is survived by Mrs. W.H. (Fannie)Moorhouse and Mrs. J. Abbott(Cassie) 
Parker of San Francisco, CA; also three brothers, George and John of Elkhorn, 
and James Farrar of Hudson, IA.  One brother, William, died about three years 
before.
Those at the burial included: Mr.and Mrs. D. Schuyler and William Moorhouse of 
Chicago; Miss Retta Utter, Trempealeau, WI; Mrs. Edna Graves, Michigan; Mr. and 
Mrs. E.G.Davis, Fox Lake, IL; Mr. and Mrs. H. Dickinson, Oconomowoc, WI; Mr. 
and Mrs. Jay Farrar and daughter, Milwaukee, WI; and James Farrar, Hudson, IA.  

Additional Comments:
She was my great grand aunt.  Mr. and Mrs. D. Schuyler (Daniel and Sibyl 
Moorhouse Schuyler) were the son-in-law and daughter of Fannie Farrar 
Moorhouse.  William Moorhouse was Fannie Farrar Moorhouse's son.  Miss Retta 
(Euretta) Utter was the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Farrar Utter, as was 
Mrs. Edna (Utter) Graves.  Mr. and Mrs E. G. (Everett and Laura Farrar) Davis, 
were the son-in-law and daughter of John Walker Farrar.  Mr. and Mrs. Jay 
Farrar were the son and daughter-in-law of George H. Farrar.  So Mary Farrar 
was the Aunt of all of the above people.
