This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Nance Sampson 23 February 1999 ==================================================================== Cadott Man Killed by Lightning While Ice Fishing A Cadott, Wis. man, 67 year old Fred Witt, was struck by lightning last Thursday afternoon at approximately 3:30 while ice fishing on Bashaw Lake west of Shell Lake. The phenomenon of destructive lightning in December occurred during a mild, rainy afternoon.
