Barronett Store and Post Office Robbed

The Barronett post office and Arnes store was robbed of about $400 in money 
and stamps in a theft committed Monday night, November 20 (1939).

The theft was discovered by Mrs. Arnes when she arrived to open the store 
the next morning.

The robbers gained entrance by forcing the front door with a crowbar and 
then used this to break the lock on the safe.
