The News-Review, Roseburg, OR, 11/16/2003
Irene, 90, of Roseburg, OR passed away at a local foster home. She was born 
9/30/1913 in Dexter, MN to Earl & Martha Thomas. The family moved to Earl in 
1917. She married Vernon Jewell who preceded her in death, 11/11/1969. she and 
Vernon moved to Roseburg in 1953. Survivors include her sister, Eleanor Davis, 
Winterhaven, FL, sisters-in-law June Thomas of Durand, WI, Agnes Thomas of 
Faribault, MN; daughter-in-law, Nancy Jewell of Roseburg, OR, 4 grandchildren 
& 8 great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Earl Cemetery, Earl, WI.
