Vern Scribner of Sarona was killed in an accident on his farm when his tractor 
overturned and pinned him to the ground. He died before assistance could be 
given. He was born in Bashaw 7/28/1935. He married Lorraine Lambrecht 
6/22/1955 and they had 5 children. Survivors include his wife and 4 children, 
Kurtis, LouAine, Carrie & Kraig, all at home and his parents the Fred 
Scribners of Spooner, 1 brother, Cecil of Shell Lake; 3 sisters, Mrs. Dorothy 
Wozny, Minong, Mrs. Carol Schaefer, Shell Lake and Mrs. Eleanor Smith of 
Northville, MI and his grandfather, Chris Nielson. 1 son, Douglas and 1 
brother and 1 sister preceded him in death.
Burial was in Earl Cemetery.
