She was born August 19, 1913, in Minong. She was a housewife and former elementary teacher at the Beaver Dam School. She was a member of Good Neighbors Club of Minong. She attended Calvary Lutheran Church. She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Smith of Grantsburg, three sons, Buck Block, Minong, Jim Block, Minong, Lee Block, Gordon, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one sister, Leona Wheeler, Minong, and a brother, Kenneth Smith, of Minong. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest, brother Harold, and grandson Michael. Funeral services were Sunday, July 2 at Calvary Lutheran Church, Minong, the Rev. Arvid and Rev. Kim Sundet officiating. Visitation was Friday, July 1 at the Brown Funeral Home in Minong. Burial was in the Lampson Cemetery.
