He came to Wisconsin with the family in 1916 and has resided in the Earl community until the time of his death, Monday, August 16, at the age of 56 years, 6 months and 12 days. He is survived by four brothers and three sisters. Adolph of Dows, Iowa, Mrs. Earl Thomas, Arthur and Mrs. Ralph Holt, all of Trego; Mrs. Peter Thomsen of Madison, Gustave of Shell Lake and Walter of Earl; also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Butenhoff, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Butenhoff, Shell Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Thomsen and Walter of Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Butenhoff, Miss Amanda Korth, Elsie, Delvern Korth, Mrs. Lillie Korth, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Watt, Mrs. Forrest Denger, all of Dows Iowa. Mr. And Mrs. William Kruger, Jr., St. Paul; Mrs. Bud Bosshardt, Sauk Dentre, Minn.; Mr. And Mrs. Glen Thomas, Faribault, Minn.; Mr. And Mrs. Fred Butenhoff, Hampton, Iowa; Carl Butenhoff, F. G. Butenhoff, Barnesville, Minn.; William Butenhoff, Albert Butenhoff, of Baker, Minn.; Mrs. Irving Sether, Rothsay, Minn.; Marilyn Butenhoff, Baraboo. Funeral services were held at the Earl Congregational church on Thursday, August 19 at 2 p.m., Rev. T. S. Beavin officiating. Burial in Earl Cemetery. Casket bearers were Elmer Anderson, Maurice Anderson, Herman Furchtenicht, Lawrence Graham, Frank Lenny and Mitchel Bray.
