Holt, age 49, Rte. 3, Spooner, and a resident of the town of Evergreen, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 1980 at the Spooner Community Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 26, 1931 at Earl to Ralph and Lulu Holt. He lived and farmed in the area his entire life and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two daughters, Marcia Eubanks, Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Judy Burks, Donalson, Tenn.; one son, Douglas, Hendersonville, Tenn.; four sisters, Norma Anderson, Earl, Linda Austin, Merrill, Lois Courter, Ft. Myers, Fla., and Elaine Kruger, Trego; one brother, Larry Holt, Earl; Bonnie Nelson, His fiance, of Spooner; and his Step-mother, Grace Holt, Earl. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 8, 1:30 p.m. at the Namekagon Congregational United Church of Christ, Earl, the Rev. Thomas Bryan officiating. Burial will be in the Earl Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday afternoon, beginning at 1:30 p.m. and that evening at the Dahl Funeral Home, Spooner.
