This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Don Hansen 13 January 2001 ==================================================================== RALPH ELMER HOLT OBIT The Spooner Advocate 11/21/1979, p8 Ralph Elmer Holt, age 76, a resident of the Town of Crystal, died on Saturday, November 17, 1979, at the Shell Lake Indianhead Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 30, 1903 at Clear Lake, Ia. And came to this area in 1912. Mr. Holt farmed in the area for many years. On August 6, 1968 he was united in marriage to Grace Davis at Earl. Mr. Holt was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America, the Crystal Town Board and the Spooner School Board. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lulu, in 1967. He is survived by his wife, Grace; four daughters, Elaine Kruger, Trego, Norma Anderson, Earl, Lois Courter, Ft. Myers, Fla., Linda Austin, Merrill; two sons, Donovan and Larry, both of Spooner; 17 grandchildren, five great- grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Saastad. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 20, at 2 p.m. at the Namekagon Congregational Church, Earl, the Rev. Tom Bryan officiating. Burial was in the Earl Cemetery. Visitation was at the Dahl Funeral Home, Spooner, on Monday with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
