This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Priscilla Arnold 20 January 2002 ==================================================================== Spooner, Washburn Co., WI Spooner Advocate Obituaries Thursday, July 14, 1994 ELLA LINK Ella Link, 93, Tacoma, Wash., died on Saturday, July 2, in Puyallup, Wash. She was born on July 27, 1900, in Minong to William and Augusta Jesse, both of Germany. She was the fourth of seven children. In 1917 she married Ernie Link, and they lived in Minong until 1929 when Ernie passed away. From 1930 to 1982 Ella was a beautician, working the summers at her own shop on Madeline Island and winters in West Palm Beach, Fla. She retired in 1982 and remained in West Palm Beach until 1989 when she moved to Tacoma. Survivors include two sisters, Clara Johnson, Duluth, and Mabel "Toddy" Gagnon, Minong; and many neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, William and Walter, and one sister, Lillian. A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 15, at Brown Funeral Home in Minong, with Rev. Craig Nelson, pastor of Calvary Lutheran Church in Minong, officiating. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Minong.
