Mrs. Thomsen was born at Dows, Iowa on August 22, 1901, and has resided in Madison since 1937. She was vice president of the Schoep’s Ice Cream Company of Madison. Her husband is president of the company. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Plymouth Congregational church with burial in Roselawn Cemetery, Madison. Surviving are her husband, Peter; four daughters, Mrs. Theodore Snyder, Cottage Grove, Mrs. Larry Gates, Madison, Mrs. Donald Hansen, Napa, Calif., Mrs. Harold Koenig, Wheatland, Iowa; four sons, Lester, Walter, Donald and Paul, all of Madison; two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Holt, Spooner, Mrs. Thomas, Earl; three brothers, Walter Butenhoff, Earl, Gustave Butenhoff, Minneapolis and Arthur Butenhoff, Trego, also survive. Gunderson Funeral Home at 5203 Nimona Drive, Madison, are in charge of arrangements. The family requests memorials be sent to Wisconsin Heart Association or Arthritis and Rheumatism Foundation.
